DISGRACED former Cardiff City striker Leon Jeanne has been arrested for drug dealing.

The 21- year- old, who was released by the Bluebirds in May after refusing to provide a mandatory second drugs test, walked into Cardiff Central Police Station yesterday following police enquiries.

Along with others, he was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine. He was due to appear before Cardiff magistrates today.

Jeanne made only two Nationwide League appearances for Cardiff City and is currently playing for Newport County.

The former Wales Under-21 star is already serving a suspended sentence for failing a drugs test at the end of last year, and recently faced a Football Association of Wales disciplinary commission.

* DETECTIVES in Cardiff have conducted a series of dawn raids on suspected drug dealers.

Around 60 officers took part in Operation Galapagos at addresses throughout the city, including Ely, St Mellons and Grangetown.

Officers arrested 13 people, including two from London, who are currently being questioned.

Small quantities of drugs and several weapons, including a three foot machete, were seized.

It is anticipated further arrests will take place today.
